Automatic coffeemaker - SOLO®
General information
With the Solo®, the respective coffee bean strengths produce the following coffee powder quantities:
1 bean -> approx. 7.5 g
2 beans -> approx. 9.5 g
3 beans -> approx. 11.5 g
By turning the water quantity regulator, you can infinitely adjust the coffee quantity between 30 ml and 220 ml. Turn the regulator to the left to obtain less coffee. Turn it to the right to increase the coffee quantity.
There is air in the lines inside the appliance. Please fill the water tank and press the button for brewing strength. The pump in your appliance is now reactivated. After venting, you can dispense coffee again.
If the symbol is then still lit up, perform the following steps:
1. Check whether the water filter is inserted and remove it if necessary. Then, perform the process described above again.
2. Clean the brewing unit according to the operating instructions for your appliance and perform the process described above again.
3. Perform cleaning and descaling of the machine and then carry out the process described above again.
The drip tray should only ever be emptied when the appliance is switched on. If you empty it while the appliance is switched off, this will not be recognised by the appliance sensor and can lead to error messages. Pull out the drawer while the appliance is switched on and then reinsert it.
Too little or no coffee has been ground. Fill up the bean container with new coffee beans. Restart the brewing process.
The drive may possibly not be in the correct position. Check whether the water tank is filled and the drip tray is inserted. Switch the appliance OFF and ON again and then press the coffee and steam dispensing buttons simultaneously for longer than 2 seconds. The drive moves into position. Then reinsert the brewing unit and check that it is correctly locked.
The brewing unit may possibly not be locked correctly. Unlock the brewing unit and lock it again. If the display is still flashing, remove the brewing unit, insert it again and lock it.
Make sure that the appliance is switched off at the start of cleaning or descaling.
To adjust the grinding fineness, open the cover on the right-hand side and prepare any coffee drink. Move the grinding fineness adjustment lever to the left with the grinder running in order to set a finer grinding fineness or to the right to set a coarser grinding fineness. Please note that the grinding fineness may only be adjusted when the grinder is running, as the grinder may otherwise be damaged. Then close the cover again.
