Automatic coffeemaker - CI Touch®
General information
The drive may possibly not be in the correct position. Check whether the water tank is filled and the drip tray is inserted. Switch the appliance OFF and ON again and then press the On /Off button and the brewing strength buttons simultaneously for longer than 2 seconds. The drive moves into position. Then reinsert the brewing unit and check that it is correctly locked.
The drip tray should only ever be emptied when the appliance is switched on. If you empty it while the appliance is switched off, this will not be recognised by the appliance sensor and can lead to error messages. Pull out the drawer while the appliance is switched on and then reinsert it.
With the Passione®, the coffee powder quantity for the respective brewing strengths is 7 to 13 g. You can set the brewing strength in five stages.
With the cappuccinatore, you can froth milk directly into the cup from the milk carton or from a vessel. Insert the hose from the cappuccinatore directly in the milk and place a cup under the cappuccinatore. Press the steam dispensing button. As soon as the symbol for the valve lights up, turn the rotary regulator to the "Milk froth" position. The "Milk froth" function is active when the symbol on the rotary regulator points upwards. Turn the valve switch clockwise up to the stop to open the valve. When you have obtained the desired quantity of milk froth, turn the valve switch anticlockwise up to the stop in order to close the valve.
Press the Service button to the steam symbol. Press the brewing strength button to select between the brewing temperatures.

Re-assemble the cappuccinatore in reverse order. Push the cappuccinatore onto the steam pipe up to the stop.
By turning the water quantity regulator, you can infinitely adjust the water quantity for your coffee between 30 ml and 220 ml. Turn the regulator to the left to obtain less coffee. Turn it to the right to increase the coffee quantity.

To adjust the grinding fineness, first remove the water tank. The grinding fineness adjustment lever is visible on the housing. Move the lever to the left with the grinder running in order to set a finer grinding fineness or to the right to set a coarser grinding fineness. Please note that the grinding fineness may only be adjusted when the grinder is running, as the grinder may otherwise be damaged. Then, insert the water tank again.
